Sponsor a Woman

Elizabeth was voted the leader of Ruraq Maki’s production group by her peers.

Marleny used the money she earned in our programs to send her two daughters to university.

Gladys applied the skills she learned in our entrepreneurship training to open her own sewing workshop after she was released from prison.

All of these women have one thing in common- all they needed was an opportunity. An opportunity to learn, an opportunity to try something new, an opportunity to work, and an opportunity to be more than a forgotten population in a far corner of the world.

When given opportunities women flourish. When given opportunities women step into their full self. When given opportunities women change the world.

You can help Ruraq Maki create opportunities for women by providing free educational workshops. We need your help this year to offer our summer workshop series, focused on metal stamped jewelry, leather sandals, and continuing education for production, quality control, and entrepreneurship.

Our goal for this campaign is to raise $5,000 by June 30, 2016. If we raise that amount, we will be able to hold our workshops this year for 20 women like Elizabeth, Gladys, and Marleny.

For $250 you can send one woman through our entire summer workshop series.

For $125 you can sponsor a women for half of the workshop series.

And for $25 you can sponsor a woman for a one day workshop.
